Tim Dyer Tim is the founder and owner of White Squall Paddling Centre and is a leader in Sea Kayak Instruction and Guiding both Ontario and Canada. Dyer has worked in the outdoor industry since the early '70's with his first start was as a canoe guide in Temagami, then as an outdoor instructor with Project DARE, on staff with Wilderness Challenge Project at Alberta Corrections, and then as a co-ordinator of the Strathcona Outdoor Leader Apprenticeship in B.C. He fell in love with coastal kayaking while guiding on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Soon after he took teacher training and arrived in Parry Sound teaching part time in both elementary and high school. Tim is a direct and effective communicator, always diplomatic, with a witty sense of humour. Staff and customers alike take a shine to him immediately.
Tim is a Paddle Canada Sea Kayak Senior Instructor and Trainer, an AECSKO full guide, a member of the National Paddle Canada Sea Kayak Certification Committee, and is trained in Wilderness 1st Aid and Swift Water Rescue. In winter, he teaches skiing at the local ski club with the Jackrabbit program and loves backcountry skiing with friends. In summer, well you know where to find him, however occasionally he escapes for a canoe or kayak getaway with family and friends, never tiring of spending time in his backyard of beautiful Georgian Bay. |

David H. Johnston David has been paddling a kayak for over 15 years. He is a Paddle Canada Instructor who likes to get out in really big water.
Rockhopping and kayak surfing gets him really excited with unsubstantiated reports from other paddlers of little girl screams coming from his direction when he is out messing around. Again nothing has been verified so don't believe what you hear.

Greg Mason Greg is a a long time kayak guide and instructor with White Squall. Holding a Level 1 Instructor Trainer and Level 3 Instructor he really enjoys bashing around in boats really close to rocks...perhaps why he also enjoys white water kayaking so much.
Greg recently became a dad and is very proud that he and his son Sam got out kayaking when Sam was three weeks old. Beyond all Greg is very involved in coastal conservation with the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve and is starting a new life as a private consultant working on environmental and planning projects on the coast of Georgian Bay and beyond.
